About Us

NIVO was established in 1988 by like minded, entrepreneurial business people. It is a buying group with over 280 operator members and over 90 supplier members, aiming to secure the best possible deal in the marketplace for its members.

The combined sales through NIVO are worth approx £50 million per year.

Regular meetings are held with all existing and prospective supplier members to discuss business performance, arrange promotional material and seek innovation. In addition, these meetings help set objectives and strategy to ensure both supplier members and the membership can maximize on the opportunities that exist and which can be jointly created. As part of this exercise, NIVO undertakes regular analysis of purchasing patterns and market data to enable all parties to fully understand the needs of the consumer.

NIVO endeavours to ensure best terms are achieved for Operator Members, based upon overall group purchases. These take various forms including (for example) off-invoice discounts and retrospective rebates. In the case of the latter, NIVO administers rebate schemes on behalf of the Members which it administers from its head office in Leeds.
